Jammin'

In February of this year unnatural, Naturally was shown at the JamFactory in Adelaide as pat of the Adelaide Fringe. It was awesome to present the exhibition in Lauren's hometown and for the two of us to be together again having some unnatural adventures. It was also a very great honour for us both to be showing alongside one of our jewellery heroes and quite possibly one of the loveliest people you could ever hope to meet - Julie Blyfield. Her retrospective exhibition in Gallery One was sublime!

For this version of the unnatural, Naturally exhibition in the JamFactory's Gallery two space, we decided to redesign the display. Our trusty and well traveled wooden hedge had by now seen better days and it is now dispersed amongst friends in New Zealand and Australia. Our new look unnatural exhibition design saw us using large cardboard free-floating shapes that mirror our drawings and some of the shapes that appear in our work (particularly our brooches) alongside a cardboard hedge. Lauren did an amazing job configuring all of the shapes for the cardboard cutters and we had a great time playing with them all whilst installing

So, here are some installation shots of the JamFactory exhibition coming together. It took us four days to install...

the work all laid out... over 160 pieces in this version of unnatural, Naturally!

Cardboard hung, now to place the work. We went for our favoured colour gradation, it looked amazing!
