unnatural, Naturally - some adventures in Wellington, New Zealand

Last June, Mel (and bump) crossed the ditch and took unnatural, Naturally to Quoil Gallery in Wellington, New Zealand.

A few minor hedge repairs in Kelly's shed before installing the exhibition at Quoil... (also some serious shed envy!) and installing at the gallery.

Some installation shots below:

While she was there she also spent a few days with in the terrific jewellery department at Whitireia Polytechnic working with the students and presenting an unnatural jewellery workshop. It was a fantastic trip and the staff and students made her feel like part of the family. A massive thank you to Peter Deckers and Kelly MacDonald for their warm welcome and hospitality.

Besides their wonderful work with the students at Whitireia and working on their own practices, Peter and Kelly are involved with all sorts of other amazing projects such as The See Here gallery space in Wellington and adventures in jewellery such as The Exchange Project between Whitireia and Sydney College of the Arts that took place last year and this year's Handshake Jewellery

Thank you to Phillipa and all at Quoil as well as to Peter and Kelly and their wonderful students Whitireia for making Mel and unnatural, Naturally feel so warmly welcome in wintery Wellington.
